Hi Robert and FBO-

For those of you who don't know, I work at a radio station in Bangor
Maine, WKIT. On Monday we received a 5-song promo CD from Atlantic. It
contains the following:

Black Dog
Immigrant Song
OTHAFA
The Ocean
Heartbreaker

And just to let you know, there are not a lot of radio stations streaming
online anymore due to two reasons. #1- AFTRA, the national voice talent
union, wants extra fees for their commercial's that are broadcast online.
So a lot of radio stations chose to discontinue their stream because the
costs outweighed the benefits, if you can't play ads over the internet,
there is no income paying for the cost of providing that service.

And then they started wanting extra royalties for online streaming.

These two reasons forced 98% of the US stations that were broadcasting
online to discontinue their online streaming.

Fortunately WKIT IS still streaming online and can be heard at
www.zoneradio.com/wkit.....

reccomended times- tuesday's- double shot tuesday, wednesday- anything can
happen wednesday, thursday- triple plays, and friday is live friday
(mostly live stuff)

Not to mention my overnight shifts Friday Saturday and Sunday nights :)
(had to plug my show somewhere)

There is a toll free 800 number into the studio too- 800-287-1003, that
will give you a way to request the tunes. granted people can't always
get their tunes in, but 5-6 PM (eastern) and 9AM-10AM are all request
hours and there are 30-minute blocks featuring a different artist at 3:30
and 8:00 (both PM), as well as the "Third Shift Lunch Break" M-F mornings
from 2 AM till 3 AM featuring songs going along with a theme or a topic,
normally on Friday mronings TOny is just looking for live stuff.

And mentioning that I sent you or that you know me won't help to get your
song on any quicker, it could have a negative effect if 20 million people
call saying that.....heh..... but until we get the full CD in a few weeks
(likely a little while before it hits the stores) those are the 5 songs
both WKIT and other rock stations have. Chances are bigger markets will
get the full CD before the smaller markets like Bangor, maine.
