Thanks for posting that link, it was a good read. I do know a few things
about making music and drumming and I couldn't agree more with any statement
saying Bonham is the best when it comes to (rock) drumming. And you're right
he always sounds great. But when you look at early footage of Bonhams
drumming with all his energy, power and madman-alike attacks on the skins
it's just a big difference from the visuals of Bonhams drumming in later
days. Well maybe he has just gotten older and more efficient. I remember a
quote from Plant about Bonham saying something like:"Sometimes you'd just
wish the snare was there. Later on he got rid of all his (makes a wild
over-head drum fill ala D&C) ... It was more about what he didn't play then
what he did play.''
