The more I think about the upcoming Zeppelin DVD release party, the more I 
think that something is "up."  It just doesn't make sense that the three 
members would come all the way over to NYC just to make an "appearance" at 
the screening of their DVD.  They didn't make any such appearances in the US 
or elsewhere for the 1990 Box Set or the 1997 BBC Sessions.  So, the fact 
that they're doing so now strikes me a little bit.

If, as is rumored, there is bad blood between some or all members of the 
group, it would seem rather odd that they'd be willing to get together 
simply to promote a DVD and CD release.  First of all, they don't need the 
money.  Second, and perhaps more importantly, in my opinion, personal 
promotion by the survivng members will have, at best, only a marginal affect 
on sales of the DVD and CD ... let's face it - the majority of the people 
who are going to buy this thing are already Zep fans and are waiting 
anxiously for the May release date.  It's not like Plant, Page and Jones 
showing up in NYC and sitting together in the front row is going to suddenly 
spur some Brittney Spears or Blink 182 fan to run out and buy the Zep DVD 
and CD.

I don't know why, but I just have a feeling that there's more to this 
screening party than meets the eye.
