Origin of Outtakes on Physical...

When I saw the first post on this subject I was prompted to take a look
 at my PG CD.
Under "The Rover" the credits "/Guitar lost courtesy of Nevison. Salvaged
by the grace of Harwood." appear. Anybody know the story behind this?
 I think I had read that portions/sections of the tapes from the fourth
album were somehow damaged in transport and had to be re-recorded.
 I like the way the Brits sling insults, very civilized, dignified, such as
 JPJ's comeback at R'n'R hall of fame ceremony, "I'm glad you finally found
my phone number". Love that wry humour.
