Yarbirds- Birdland

Anyone heard the new Yardbirds song "Please Don't Tell me Bout the News?"

And that is not the "New Yardbirds" that is a new tune by the reformed
Yardbirds......

The album "Birdland" contains remakes of several yardbirds classics as
well as a few new tunes including the one mentioned above. Jeff Beck
appears on one song on the album, and there are also guest appearances
from guitarists Slash, Brian May, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather,
Jeff "Skunk" Baxter and guest vocals by the Goo Goo Dolls John Rzeznik.

I honestly thought the album would be a joke when I saw it in here, but
man..... it's incredible, despite the fact that the only founding
yardbirds on the album are CHris Dreja and Jim McCarty..... but the album
is really good and worth checking out. Remakes on the album include:

I'm Not Tlaking, For Your Love, Train, Shapes of THings, Over Under
Sideways Down,  Mr. You're a Better Man that I, and Happenings Ten Years
Time Ago.

The album closes with a new tune called "An Original Man" which is a
tribute to original YB voicalist Keith Relf, who electrocuted himself
playing guitar in his bathtub in 1976.
