It's springtime, so it seems. Snow has melted, birds
are chirping, cats are climbing trees to get at birds.
It is also time for spring cleaning.
This year I'm clearing out a load of CD's and CDR's I
don't listen to anymore. I'll try and see what I can
get for trade-in on the commercial discs, but I'm not
holding my breath.
One of the things I'm parting with is the Zeppelin
tribute disc, "Encomium." It's the Canadian version,
meaning it also has Mana performing Fool In The Rain.
Is it worth trying to sell used CDs on Ebay?
Listening to the much maligned Sheryl Crow's take on
D'yer M'ker, I can only conclude this - it's the best
she's sounded, of what I've heard of her on radio.
Not to say great, or anything, but compared with the
rest of her music I've come across, it's a f*cking
home run.
As others have pointed out, the standout track is
Stone Temple Pilots doing Dancing Days. What happened
to those kids? Sour Girl was a great song, but
they've fizzled out more or less. I think I've got
one of their albums in my consign pile. I'm getting
rid of my Pearl Jam and Soundgarden albums too. Those
didn't stand the test of time. I will keep my RHCP
and Alice in Chains albums though.
As far as my bootleg collection is concerned, yes, you
can accumulate a substancial number of discs over the
course of 3 1/2 years. A lot of which you seldom
listen to. Some will just get thrown out. Others
which are clean copies, I'll b&p out. I highly
recommend others do spring cleaning of their own - it
frees up a good chunk of space.
