Hi Everybody. I just caught this bit of info at Underground Uprising.
Check out the second paragraph. Has anybody else noticed this from Disc
1??
13-Jul-73 Detroit
Song of Detroit. SQ ***** Appeal: General
Detroit July 13th. The SQ's less flat than the old Babe I'm Gonna Leave
You release on Dynamite Studios, but new source is longer at 96'
compared to 53' for Babe... Dazed has the first minute or so missing,
(this and STH are the only new tracks from this show). Dancing Days is
just as incomplete as One More Daze, although Plant's intro spiel does
confirm it as being from this show. Packaging in standard double jewel
case with (unremarkable) foldout pic sleeve. Worth upgrading. (Paul
Apple Nov 2000)
Underground Uprising has received the following observation regarding
this release, so fans should be careful:-
"A friend of mine thought that the 7/13/1973 "Song of Detroit" sounded a
bit too much like 5/26/1973 Salt Lake City 1973 (on Watch Tower) and I
confirmed the fact. The songs of issue is Dazed And Confused and
Stairway To Heaven. This was the extra material that made this a more
complete release than say the V 1/2 material. Plant's comments between
these two tracks match. It appears that Celebration got away with this
as I see that bootledz lists it as a more complete show, and your site
lists it as a worthy upgrade. When you get a chance take a listen to
both shows and if you agree with my friend and I please note the issue
on your website so that people are aware." (Ben Bowen March 03)
