Re: Robert Plant as an unknown



given where bob was prior to zep starting, i don't think he would have
gotten very far without zep....perhaps something small would have come from
the alexis korner stuff but nothing major...as a result i think he would now
be an almost-ran...his solo records would have never happened...or maybe he
would've gotten one out, but nothing in the early 70;s musical soundscape
makes me think he would have been succesful on his own....probably be
singing for fun in birmingham and still married to maureen...!..now, what if
jim had not found bob and zep had started with say, terry reid or winwood or
some unknown....they might've been about as important as ..um...terry reid!
or savoy brown or jeff beck group?....or....???..? what do ya'll think?
