Re: I've been thinking too much....again!

>>Now if the flood gates are going to open and
Jimmy releases some live stuff to the drooling masses, that's us, then he may
clamp down.<<

I've never understood this line of thought. What would Jimmy do exactly, send
out some sort of
psychic vampire to menace the hoarder? I don't think there's a whole lot he
could do to stop
bootleggers. Hell, Peter Grant couldn't "clamp down" on it when Zep was at the
height of its
power, so how could Jimmy now? That's not to say I don't think there's a
connection to all the
recent boot releases and upcoming live project, as in why would anybody pay
good money for a
crap bootleg when they can pay a lot less money for a professional recording?
A lot of hoarded
boots are in danger of being made irrelevant depending on what Jimmy releases.
Obviously Jimmy
isn't going to release whole shows, but unless you're a completist there are
many Zep fans who
can live without yet another version of Moby Dick or a bad performance of The
Ocean. Must have
the hoarders a little nervous, like maybe the golden goose is in danger of
drying up, especially
if Jimmy decides to put out a larger than expected DVD/live CD thingie.
