Hi all, I am currently "looking around" for a hopefully near future purchase
of a cd burner. I am surprised to see sooo many "different" brands, speeds
etc....with that said...If I were to purchase one, I would basically start
out having absolutely No idea what I was doing....first off I know how to use
a "home recording studio" I have one.(ya know laying down tracks then
mixing/editing etc.)...so I am thinking this cd burning stuff can't be too
difficult, but I really need some help/info about these things. I have 2
computers, one with win98 366MHz 4.3GB Hard Drive, and one with ME 700 MHZ.
20GB Hard Drive. With that....what would be an easy to use, reasonably
priced, and easy to find burner? At this point I am not really interested in
one that does dvd as well....unless the price was right. I really know jack
about these things, so I am assuming the 40x/12x/40x is speed????? Because I
have 2 computers and only one is online at a time...it doesn't really matter
"how fast" it can write, I can use either computer. I really just want
something of quality, economical, and basically easy to use. So my point is:
1. quality
2. user friendly
3. economical
4. easy to find....oh compatibility would be an issue
Any help would be appreciated, and I know everyone probably has thier own
"preferred" brand or what not, but just throw some ideas out at me.
Thanks, Von
