The Tea Party showed some Zep Influences!

Hi Everyone:
I just saw the Tea party over the weekend and they
were still up to their Zep influences. It was a free
concert at Aquafest in Hamilton where it was estimated
they played to 10,000 people.
The third song in their set featured a brief theremin
solo, but things got a little more interesting when
they did Save Me. That was the song that featured Jeff
Martin using a violin bow on his guitar in the video.

Martin started this song by playing a violin bow on
the sitar. A little different take as Jimmy used to
own a sitar too. Half way through the song, they
stopped and Martin all of a sudden started playing the
Kashmir riff. The band followed in and they played
about 4 minutes of Kashmir before they returned back
to Save Me.

On an unrelated note, the Saturday night at the
festival featured a short set with Sass Jordan and
Alannah Myles. I've heard Alannah is trying to work on
a new album and try to get some type of comeback
going. Alannah's stage presencs seemed a little odd to
me as I was trying to figure out if she's a little
goofy or high on something. Vocally, my guess would be
that Alannah Myles was trying to show that her vocal
influences were a cross between Roseanne Barr and Yoko
Ono. I've heard better singing at a Kareyoke bar. It
would be nice to slip Robert a copy of this recording
to see the look on his face when he hears Alannah
singing "This lover of mine". I could see him saying
something like "she's lucky it wasn't Artie taping her
sing".
