RE: Led Zeppelin Collectible boot cd's

i'm wondering if led zeppelin boot cd's (not cdr's) increase in value from a
collectors point of view.

for example "led zeppelin complete boston tea party" on the arms label.
would something like this increase in value or is it just reprinted and
remade so many times that it doesn't really change? i don't know when this
one came out but it seems like i've had it for 10 years or so.

i was just curious if there was some kind of market for this. i seem to
recall in the past fish heads auctioning off rare zeppelin cd's for fairly
large amounts.

also shows get remastered, and sometimes improved, making perharps early
boot cd's from the late 80's early 90's not as desirable?

that's all for now on this subject as i'm very sleepy...maybe someone can
shed some light on led zeppelin collectible boots...

Warning This is Only my point of view! When I first started collecting, I was
in it for the "valuable rare" material, and for me cd's were just not it, I
wanted the *original* source on vinyl. I mean cd's were still in the future
as far as zep recordings went. However, alot of these vinyls LP's are very
rare or hard to find...thus making it just that more intriguing for *me* to
try to find these. After searching and scrounging and haggling with the
venders at record conventions & underground collectors, who were willing to
sell, but always wanted to screw you around, it seemed almost *futile*, you
had to know your shit, know exactly what you were looking for, the haggling
was the worst part, fighting for what you wanted etc... Well I managed to
come away with 2 pretty nice original *rare* source LP recordings...and
these LP's seem to be what is being *hoarded*. I not only wanted to collect
the original source LP's, but also the rare collectable Led Zep records
etc....after awhile this *haggling* became tiresome, turntables were out
etc.... and I went on to whatever I could get on "cassette", only to find
that (at least on my copies) the LP's were all being recorded onto cassette,
and thus the *hoarding* of the true original sources was beginning. I do not
own any *original* recordings on cassette either....and ARE there any? Then
cassette's were out, and CD's were in....now I find myself amidts this HUGE
plethora of shows and MY learning is just beginning...as far as cd's are
concerned. At least with the original source and some knowledge you KNOW
EXACTLY what you are getting, how rare or valuable it is. This is exactly
what I mean when I say I am here to *learn*, due to the huge volume of
tradable shows on cd, I couldn't tell you alot of the time, what gen it is
etc...without the pure *trust* of whomever I got it from. Furthermore...I
really do not care....it has now become a matter of the music for me. The
people responsible for getting the shows from vinyl/vhs/cassette to CD,
etc..or whatever the means are the ones who really know. SO in a nutshell I
really can't help ya out on the *value* of certain sets of shows on cd's,
even if you have had it forever...unless you know the true source I suppose.
I am not as "clueless" as I have led on, but I still have ALOT to learn about
collecting shows on *cd*....so I have included a "FEW" noteworthy *cd's*
worth having, as far as value...I think that is left up to the person
purchasing them/trading....how bad do you want it, or how bad to you want to
get rid of it...Sentimental Value also applies.....so to speak....but this is
just my opinion, and it means nil here. I am quite sure! SO:

1. San Francisco 4/27/69 vol. 1&2, preferrably Kaleidoscopic Music in Stereo
an Italian release of the soundboard recording.

2. Destroyer (Archive Productions) soundboard recording from Cleveland
4/27/77 (I think)

3.Live on Blueberry Hill parts 1&2 (Neutral Zone) in mono, and should include
several songs that were not on the vinyl boots. R: Inglewood
Forum...L.A...9/4/70

4.Classics Offf The Air Volume 1&3 (Neutral Zone), one is mono, one is
stereo, but I do not recall which...nor recall the date for vol.1, vol
3...3/25/77, a BBC concert from Paris Theatre.

I know there are TONS more, considering the VOLUME of shows that are out
there...but if I were truely *concerned* with quality/sound/value/gen
etc....I am sure one of the many well informed people out there can clue you
in.

I think a nice or best avaliable show from each year is a good start for
collecting cd's. And with that said..that is where I am starting my
"collection" from, and not worrying about *value* as I did before. It's not
like I listen to vinyl everyday. Hey beggers can't be choosers eh?

Ok I know this wasn't even close to what you were talking about...My
Apologies.

With that said.....pour some petrol on me and fire away.
