 I think what you're refering to is the Parsons B
Bender on Page's Tele. It's a mechanical device
that bends just the B string by pushing down on
the guitar with a strap on. I think he over bent
the notes when he used it in the 70's. On the
Osaka 2/15/95 show, Page uses it a little more
tastefully (IMO).
 There is also some sort of phase shift effects
pedal used. I think that's what the original
person who posted is hearing. There isn't a wah
wah pedal on that song at all.
