RE: Atlantic "New Releases"

Well the repackaging part is a load of sh*t..........But as far as the DVD
issue, we may only get snippets but hopefully the quality will be low gen so
we finally get a decent picture and 5.1 Dolby sound would be killer! Aren't
you tired of watching those 100th gen videos where you aren't even sure if
it is really the boys or a cover band?!! Anyway this could be a good sign
that maybe things are finally starting to loosen up and we will see more
goodies to come.....;)))))))

(snip)
>However further down the artical It said atlanic had "big"
plans for alot of new zep realses in 2002. These included a box set of all
the groups US singles on cd and a box of re-relased vinlye albums.

Oh boy!! more re-hashed, re-packaged, studio originals that we all already
have. THANKS ATLANTIC!! Yes, I will be a good automaton and by all your
"best of's," "re-mastereds," and, "hey look, shiny new packaging! Same old
recordings!"

I have their studio releases and whatever few little things I needed to buy
to get "Hey, Hey" & "Travellin' Riverside", etc.

Is there really a market for the constant repackaging of the same old stuff?
If no one buys it, maybe they will get their heads out of their asses,
realize that we are not the consumer equivalent of Pavlov's dog, and release

something new.

Last rant:
>DVD/video release with material possably from
denmark, the royal albert hall, earls court and knebworth. sounds promising

Great, fragmented snippets of stuff everyone already has?

(not intended to flame whoever posted this. I appreciate the info.)

All the best,
Brian
