Entwhistle Bass Trivia

Well briefly for the person that was asking about Entwhistles Bass rig
used during the Leeds gig.... I found some trivia that I hope is of
interest as follows ...

During the early days of The Who John Entwhistle had one of the first
4X12 Marshall speaker cabinets made for Bass Guitar. Apparently
Townsend, impressed, soon followed with two Marshall Cabinet Speakers,
by placing one ontop of the other ... In conclusion, perhaps creating
the first stack. ....Marshall Speaker Stack..... This is said to enhance
the sound & also put Townsend at ear level clarity with the speaker....

Entwhistles Bass guitars would be numerous I'm sure..... but I have seen
pictures of these models ....... 1963 Model Thunderbird 4 with twin
humbucker pickups.... Thunderbird 2 model is said to have only one
pickup.....

Alembic explorer apparently make guits' for John Entwhistle too.....

I have a Live at Leeds LP with an assortment of record company
paraphenalia & posters etc..... Included a notice before proceedings
under the county cour acts from a Jennings Musical Industries LTD .....
The notice is addressed to Mr Lambert & reads.........

Your attention is called to the goods outstanding below and you are now
informed that unless some arrangements are made for the goods to be
returned before March 10th 1965 ...immediate proceedings will be taken
against you in the county court for recovery of the same without further
notice
