>Hi gang I went on holiday last Friday and just got back. On the saturday I
>met Jimmy Page!!!!! I went to centre Parcs for a vaction with my parents
>and brothers and on the sat we were doin Rope activitys absailing and so on
>and as I was getting tooled up I thought I saw Jimmy, I wasn't sure at
>first
>but then pointed him out to my bro who at first didn't believe me but then
>quickly changed his mind. I was wearing my Led Zep untitled shirt and one
>of the instructers said to me do u no who that is and in a shakky voice I
>said yeah I think its Jimmy Page, he said at first he wasn't sure but he
>saw
>the signiture on the consent form and it was Jimmys. Needless to say the
>activity wasn't on my mind as I kept checking to see if he was staying, one
>of the instructers asked if I was related to him as he thought I looked
>quite like him. I tried to catch my parents eye and make them understand
>from a distince which was hopless, any way I went over to my mum and got a
>pen and sum paper. after my turn was over I went over to him and said
>"excuse me sir I realise your on holiday but would you mind signing these
>for me, he looked up and with a twinkle in his eye said yeah but if I do
>that everyone will want one but if you keep it quite I'll sign them" at
>this
>point my 2 bro's where hanging around, he signed three autographs one for
>each of us and I asked him if he minded I f I asked him some questions and
>said go ahead. Firstly I asked him if his back was ok to which he said
>yeah
>thanks I'm feeling much better, I then asked how the Jazz festival went and
>he said he enjoyed it, I then asked him about the orange amp on ebay to
>which he said yes and no, originally in the 70's there was a guitar shop
>in
>london which had guitars and equipment of dubious origin and one day the
>guy
>said to him what would you want in a custom amp , Jimmy told him so the guy
>built it for page but page never bought or used it as it was far below
>the
>standard and quality he was expecting, I then moved on to talk about
>guitars with him being a player myself and at the time he was smiling but
>then his eyes lit up and I told him what I was using and asked him if the
>tele was still his fav, he said the Les Paul is currently his fav cuz of
>the
>thickness of the sound the humbuckers give but he reckommended I buy a
>Start
>as there so versitile and as for amps he no uses orange and says that if I
>can afford one. We then pused to watch his son James as he did his
>activity, I then asked him if he was planning to tour again soon and he
>said
>hopefully yeah, my brothers chipped in and asked if it was with the crowes
>but with a mishevous smile he said you'll have to wait and see. He then
>asked for the autographs back and added to them good luck with the music as
>I told him I was studing it at a music college and the year after doing an
>hnd in it and then forming a band and see where it goes. We then shook
>his
>hand and I said to him thanks for your time and hopefully I'll bump into
>you
>in the future he said that would be nice and it was always nice to meet a
>fellow guitarist even on holiday. We then kept it quite all holiday but
>that wasn't the last we saw of him. I saw him another 8 times cycling and
>watching his kids and being the famiy man and he smiled and nodded when I
>saw him, the other interesting thing was that my brother made friends with
>his son James and we took him sailing for the afternoon which was nice.
>However James had told his villa number to us which was litterally two
>doors
>down from us. Unfortunatly Jimmy and James left on wednesday as they were
>going off to meet Scarlet. However Pages Wife and some of here relitaves
>were still there and we new each other by sight and so smiled and were
>polite when we saw each other and sometimes w found oursleves on the next
>tables when eating out.
>
>AS you can guess it was from my point of view an amazing Holiday.
>Also Jimmy dosen't deserve his reputation as a miserer he is such a decent
>bloke!!!!!!
