Ready to forgive but not forget

So, Robert's off doing his thing with whatever he's calling this
outfit (I
forget). Have to say, I wasn't at all interested in the Priory of
Brion
thing, nor did I bother trying to get tix for his Chicago show (I was
gonna
be in Mexico then anyways).
I just got the ability to listen to CD's in the car FINALLY, was
listening
to a boot of BIGLY, and it struck me ( a moment of clarity)--HE WAS
GREAT!!
His voice may not be what it was, whose whose voice DOES stay that
flexible
for 30 years???? Remembered that HIS vocals were a piece of the Zep
puzzle
which I've been in love with for decades now- it STILL doesn't wear
out, I
STILL listen to it all the time....
So, I figured Percy may be thinking, when it comes to all the
Zep-type
stuff, "Been there, done that",and you can't blame a guy for wanting
to
explore different avenues.
Now, having said that, I don't think it means you have to LIKE what
he's
doing now, nor do I think it makes me any less of a Zep fan if I
don't. So
there!
Therefore, I forgive Percy for whatever he does these days that I
just don't
happen to like- as if he'd give a flip anyhow!!
I also apologize for all the Robert-bashing I've done. There's still
quite a
catalog of stuff with his vocals (and lyrics) that I will always
dearly
love.
Still can't stomach 'If I Were A Carpenter' tho....
Still like 'Shaken 'n' Stirred'.....
Now if we could just get Pagey off his butt.......
