OK since no one is bothering about Zep content I might as well chime
in.
Can't let go any occasion to talk about Alice Cooper.
Yes Glen Buxton had some problems at a point, but he still was a great
player in his league. But by then it was people like Mick Mashbir who
jumped in for studio takes and such ( he told us some stories on the
various mailing lists I'm on). Wagner and Hunter came later, after the
band broke up (though they may have played some stuff earlier I don't
remember the whole thing by heart). Just see the great "Welcome To My
Nightmare" video to have a full view of their talent... they're partly
responsible for my eternal love for Alice! As much as the original
band.
If Glen was still here he'd be playing with the others again I'm sure.
I'll forever regret that I didn't travel to the US to see them play
(the
full Alice Cooper Group, minus Alice sadly) a few weeks before he died
in 98.
Funnny I almost bumped into Michael Bruce the other day in Edinburgh
as
he attended Alice's concert and was heading towards the backstage
while
I was trying to join some friends at the front.... I wasn't really up
to
a second set but it sounded like I missed something not going to see
MB
play his set that night!
Alice Cooper and Dragons forever!
