You couldn't pay me to listen to Clarksdale. IT's
the worst piece of rubbish. I actually threw the
disc in the garbage after the 3rd song. That's not
rock & roll.
You should do that with a 2Pac album in front of
strangers. "Dis ain't no rawk music! Hot damn!"

On a more serious note, here are some other bands
that fell down those fabled stairs:
1.The Who (post-Keith Moon).
2.The Clash (post-Mick Jones).

I would hate to think that our Mighty Zep would be on
such a list if they had continued on after 1980, even
if John hadn't died. Alot of the bands being named,
like Zeppelin, were pretty good in their day. I'd
like to think that Zep would never do no wrong though.
They kept the quality up from '68 to '80, and that is
no small task.
Some others who've fallen down and can't get up would
be Prince, Dylan for a long time, and recently Depeche
Mode.

Likewise with RUSH - ALL of their work up through
Moving Pictures was great. The stuff was masterful.
Now you couldn't pay me to bare listening to what's
become monotonous, sounds-like-the-same-long-song
music.
Apparently Rush are somewhere in Toronto taking a long
time making their new album. It'll be interesting to
see if they'll be able to rebound after the long
layoff.

I don't know how many of you are Howard Stern
listeners but he's been talking alot lately about
Jumping The Shark which means "the point were
you know that band, tv show, person etc.... sold
out, turned to shit, or dive-bombed".
A few questions. Isn't Stern's show supposedly
jumping the shark? And isn't the phrase, "jumping the
shark," supposed to refer to when said band, TV show
or person has run out of ideas and is staying longer
than they should? Not necessarily descended to
shithood-dom, but not at the peak and no chance of
getting back there?
And while I have a few of your sets of eyes, does
anyone know of a web site that streams Stern's show
live? I'm out of radio range and miss listening to
the rotten bunch.
