Throw Coda into the old stereo and listen to the 1st track, We're
Gonna
Groove. It says that it was recorded at RAH, during the performance.
However, the audience has been completely eliminated from the
recording,
plus Page dubbed over guitar parts to give it a fuller sound. Mission
accomplished, this version sounds amazing, but it is far from the
original
live recording. I swear this album is the easter egg of the Zep
collection.
It just sits there at the bottom of the pile, but whenever I put it
in, I am
always amazed at the sound of some of these songs and wonder why the
hell
they weren't released on the albums along with Hey Hey What Can I do.
There
is some great stuff here, not a bad tune on the album. The last four
tracks
would have been perfect on ITTOD, and because it only has 7 tracks,
they
would've fit too. Poor Tom would've been great on III, but it
might've been
too late when they recorded it. Oh well, I'm just happy Page
eventually
released them, even if it was a bit late.
