Chicago Show

Oh my Gawd, that was an incredible show!!! I'm just
starting to come down now, it was amazing! I would
love to go into detail about all the songs, but I got
too swept up in the fervor of the event.

The venue is great, a wonderful old theater with old
school ornate decorations and balconies and
everything. The opening band was really fun, some
sweet, rocking bluegrass that had all of wishing for a
combined encore of Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp! The sound guys
were snoozing a bit, a strange mix, but they were
kicking it with Howlin' Wolf during the break...

Percy came on sneakily and he f*cking owned that house
for the rest of the night! He was slipping in all
kinds of references, like SIBLY lyrics during a groovy
jam. At this point I have to say it was a very nice
environment for mild mind alteration... the air was
smelling awfully sweet in there! If anyone recorded
this show, I've got to get a copy, it was great! And
even after 3 encores, people were still going nuts. I
think I need to get me some leather pants.

Sorry for the scattered review/homage, but I'm still
riding that wave, it was a wonderful night! And my
friends and I ended it with a crazy blues jam down in
the tunnel, waiting for the Blue Line. Well that and
a few more hours around the fire singing Going to
California and whatnot... ah yes... thank you,
Percy!!!
