No, sorry, I probably wasn't clear.  I meant that with DVD you can 
fast
forward, rewind and freeze frame and you are not going to strain your
equipment or the DVD itself.  With a VCR tape (which is the format 
that
my old Zep vids are on), if I am always fast forwarding, rewinding and
freezing the tape, then the video tape is going to wear out, and the 
video
machine takes a strain as well.  Just ask JR, he's got some pornos 
where
there are some worn spots on the tape! (j/k, JR!)  The reason is that 
with
a DVD there is nothing touching the medium - just a beam of low
level laser.  The first play will always look like the last play, as 
long
as you take care of the storage and handling of your DVD disks.
