As good as the 04/27/69 version is, I'd have to disagree about Jimmy's
playing being better. Have you heard the second Winterland show
(4/26)? He
uses lots of droning and feedback, and his playing is very unique.
They should've put it on Zep 1. I just wonder how the album would've
sounded if Robert hadn't supposedly been so nervous. We've all heard
how
scary he sounds on the outtakes, after all...
