Wait til you see/hear the new versions. :)
The H.E. dvd has already been re-synched (on S-vhs)
using better boot sources for the soundtrack by 
some fanatic Zep-heads. The sound is supposed to be dead
on with the picture. Many hours were put in due to all the cuts/edits.
Too bad nothing has be done (yet) with picture
quality but at least the door is now open for a low gen. release
to make it's appearance. Wait 6 months and we may have
the real deal by a reputable label in much better quality
and hopefully a lower price.  

Also, no offence but
are you sure you aren't blurring the line between
perfomance quality and the audio/visual quality? Don't get me wrong
I'm not bitchin' one bit about being able to finally see the "Grail".
I'm thankful that it's out and enjoy most of the performance
immensely but that doesn't underscore the opinion that it can
be a frustrating watch in the current Holy Eye version. No it's not
"ALL" that bad but having seen better/brighter clips with *MATCHING*
sound kinda takes the sugar off the top of the H.E. release and makes it
a little less enjoyable (for me anyway). 

Too bad the H.E. people aren't pressing real silvers as advertised
or I'm sure we'd have a wonderful review from Buckeye by now
complete with some performance reviews. I'm almost tempted
to sit through the 3 hours of lunacy myself and take some serious
detailed notes on both performance and a/v quality but...
I'll leave that to the more qualified and to those who don't have a spouse
out of town with 3 rugrats to get ready for school next week. :-(
