Kim- (if I can call you that) I could not agree more. Both albums are truly
incredible albums and both deserve high praise....

Maybe not quite that, I don't know if you are saying that LZ SHOULD regroup,
personally I am in the beleif that Led Zeppelin's death was on September 25,
1980 along with John Bonham's. However, I do think that people keep buying
all this solo stuff expecting LED ZEPPELIN whether they will admit to it or
not.

It seems to me that even though everyone says that it is not Zeppelin, they
all seem to expect Zeppelin. It's sad really that there are so many closed
minded individuals on the list. Granted some of you are friends of mine, but
I think you are all taking the wrong approach to this...

Hell vocals are my favorite thing when it comes to music because I like to
sing along to songs myself. If it bothers anyone that much that Zooma has no
vocals, then make up your own damn words.

As far as the people that say that WIC is missing Jones, maybe so, that's an
opinion, but it's obvious that you just want something that sounds
incredible as Zeppelin to come out of your speakers. People criticize
Charlie Jones all the time. Why? Because he is not John Paul. The guy is a
really talented bass player, I've met many people who play themselves that
agree with me that he is a great bass player in his own right, in his own
style. He is not JPJ nor is he expected to be. So he's covering Zep songs,
who says he has to play the songs exactly like JPJ? I've heard several
instances where he is hitting the same notes as JPJ, but he is doing it in
his own style. All the more power to him. If you don't want to see a show
with 80% Zeppelin songs then don;t go to the damn P/P shows. The fact is,
that is what most of the crowd is there to see. Zeppelin songs. If they
did all of WIC, plus Wonderful One, Wah-Wah, The Truth Explodes/Yallah,
Shake My Tree, The Only One, Tall Cool One, Nirvana, Radioactive and Big Log
you'd ahve a pissed off audience. They made WIC probably knowing that there
would be people on FBO (doubt they are here but you know they have heard of
us, as well as a.m.l-z, possibly even been passed a post or two whether
they'll admit it or not) that would sit there and say it is a piece of shit
(hi JR).

Do I like all of Plant's solo songs? Hell no, "Too Loud" is just that unless
the volume knob is on zero. But there are a lot of songs I like too. I used
to hate solo Plant because it wasn;t Zeppelin, then I realized, this is a
guy doing what he wants to do, and each song has it's own special qualities.
FoN was probably the best album he ever did, despite the fact that it is
probably his mellowest, it is his most serious and greatest effort as a solo
artist thus far. Granted C/P may have rocked, and I love that album. But
you know what? I love WIC just as much, the power and the presence that just
Jimmy and RObert make while playing music together sends chills up my spine.
It isn't something I can create my own opinion on, I have to let the music
tell me what I think of it. Granted, some WIC songs took some getting used
to, but I love the whole album. And Zooma? it rocks, hands down.

> Page...If Page & Plant are just rehashing old
> material, whereas JPJ is growing musically...

Well here's the thing right here....as long as Jimmy and RObert play
together, people will expect Zeppelin. They are the two most well known out
of the whole band. JPJ is only known by serious fans. If Jimmy and RObert
had not done NQ, and instead started out doing original music and touring
doing most of their newer songs as well as some solo and 2-3 Zeppelin songs,
they would probably be playing clubs by now. But they started out doing Zep
material, so their fans expect it. And they know it. Do you think they want
to be booed off the stage? Doubt it. And at this point, they are selling out
arenas, their management isn;t going to want them to play the club scene.
JPJ on the other hand, has insisted all along that he doesn't want to play
Zep songs and that his album will not be Zeppelin, he is playing clubs and
only those who recognize him as a talented musician are going to go to his
shows. There are a lot of casual Zep fans who will be first in line for
Page/Plant who may not even know JPJ even has a solo album, much less that
he is going on tour.

Personally I group Wah Wah and City Don;t Cry into the same song, "Wonderful
One" did absolutely nothing for me. Yallah was a great song, I wish they
still did this at concerts.

I know, that is the wrost part of it all, they are trying to please us and
themselves. They can really rock if they want to, but they don;t want to
right yet. WIC had it's share of rockers.....obviously not enough for most.
We should be glad that they are still making music, they have enough money
to retire on. We don;t have that many years of these musicians left making
music. With all the drugs they did (especially Page) we unfortunately might
not see any of them live to a ripe old age. SO we should ernjoy this and
take advantage of their music while we can, because 30 years from now I
guarentee people will be on FBO saying "You know, I wihs I would ahve given
WIC more of a chance and give Page/Plant more of a chance, because I missed
them the last 3 times they toured, I could have seen the last show either of
them would ever perform"

There are some of us that were young or not even born when Bonzo died. I am
21 now, you know how much I would kill to see Zeppelin? But it ain't gonna
happen, Bonzo died when I was 2. I wasn't even old enough to know what Led
Zeppelin was. Hearing that Page and Plant reunited on DG in 1994 was a dream
come true for me, and it saddens me to death that so amny people are tearing
apart what to many of us is something that we once thought we could only
hope for.
