Hey everyone...
Well I thought I would give myself a couple weeks to read everyone's =
review of Zooma and it's comparison to WIC, which I knew was going to =
happen. For the most part the consensus among the list is that Zooma is =
a better album, and in my honest OPINION, Zooma is ARTISTICALLY a better =
album. I think the only way to explain it is that I haven't been able to =
skip any tracks on Zooma while listening to the CD. However, I find =
myself skipping through half the tracks on WIC!!! Now this doesn't mean =
that my listening skills or taste in music is better than yours, but it =
does mean that JPJ has proven that he can write GREAT music without the =
assistance of his former Zep "Pals" and he doesn't need them to prove =
that he can still write great music. =20
Now I'm not bashing P&P and I'm not saying that one or the other is =
better, but I am saying that JPJ has proven himself and he wrote a KICK =
ASS album. For most of us, WIC was a disappointment...hell, most of us =
were waiting impatiently for the new album and when it finally came out =
you played it a couple times and shelved it!!!! There are some GOOD =
songs on WIC, but none have the intensity or ferocity that Zooma =
does...from Zooma all the way to Tidal, there is just SO MUCH ENERGY!!! =
Many of you agree with me and understand my point of view, and many of =
the views are just the opposite...but for his first solo album, Jones =
has really pulled it off!!!
Congrats Jonsey!!!
