I never review anything here, but feel compelled to now, albeit
briefly--it rocks..its strange....its most 'epic' track is Snake
Eyes..the one most likely to get radio play (tho still doubtful) would
be, in my book, 'Goose'...in this track there are moments where drummer
Pete Thomas might be described as 'Bonzoesque'...'Zooma' is of couse
exuberant and kinda wild, also one of the best...'Bass 'N' Drums will
remind you a bit of the Lemon Song, but definitely jazzier....anyway, I
am enjoying this WAY more than my first listen (or second or third or
fourth) of Walking Into Clarksdale, which just plain sucked...this Zooma
thing is wild and wooly...and a refrshing surprise with some outstanding
bass playing ( ya KNEW it'd have THAT) and good accompaniment by decent
musicians...just buy it yourself, you'll dig it...sounds GREAT cranked
up!!!! Thanx JPJ for not letting me down......Michael O.
