Here is a couple of things I have learned about TicketMaster.
1) I know for a lot of large shows they will block out any out of state
sales to concerts the first couple of hours. I tried to call T/M in several
states when Pink Floyd and Page/Plant shows went on sale. They Might have
changed this.
2) Try to find a place that have knowledgable TicketMaster sellers. I have
been in line before and the person running the T/M machine had no clue how
to punch up ticket. Nothing worse than being second or third in line and
have the watching some untrained person trying to get on the job training as
your seats slowly get worse.
I use to go to T/M outlets the day before and find out who would be working
the next morning.
3) Find a T/M outlet that before the tickets go on sale will get a list of
everybody in line and how many tix they need. When the tickets window open
up they will punch up all the tickets right away and collect the money after
all the tix have been printed for everyone. This helps out a lot when your
are not the first in line.
