I forgot to mention this the first time I saw this post a few weeks
ago....but you have got to be fucking kidding me. I've heard this P/P
version from 10/13/95 and I have to say that it is one of the _worst_
versions I have ever heard of one of my all-time favorites. I even think
the version from 8/11/79 is better, and I always considered that the worst.
There's a reason why the lads only played it one or two times on the "No
Quarter" Tour....their attempt was pathetic.
Some of my favorites include 6/25/72 where Plant sings the original "high"
notes and most versions from the '77 tour....I love those long solos! As a
matter of fact, I can't think of any version from '73, '75, or '77 that I
outright dislike. Some were better than others, but all and all it's a
highlight of every Zep show it was played...to me at least.
And a pocket full of gold,
