There's a difference between decisions of profitability and meddling with
artisitc vision, though. To my knowledge, Fripp has _never_ meddled in
anyone else's vision. In fact, he'd be horrified by such an action.
Witness, for instance, his angst over the design of _Thrak_.

Probably true. We _do_ know that an awful lot of people don't like "all
that Indian crap" (as they so endearingly put it), and seem to enjoy only
ponderous riffmongering. "Everybody goes YEEEEEEAAAAAH, *BASH*...."

Collaboration and production and arranging are not the same thing as a solo
career, though. He's still got to execute an artistic vision all by
himself. It's a tough thing. I wish him well, and I'm hopeful that it'll
be good, but I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude.

The key word is "co-writer."
