Hm.... well if I remember well many tribute albums are made to help a
sick musician to cover for his treatement costs. I'm not sure if it was
always the case here but Skip Spence had been ill for a while if I refer
to the last issue of Mojo, same for Jimmy Rodgers. 
But just to be on the safe side I would say you're right to avoid this
kind of tribute... then again it may be a way to reach instant
'posthumous' fame?
Good for them they didn't do a tribute to Screaming Lord Such recently
or is it the after effect now?

I too hope that there will be some kind of trace of that Crowes-Page
concert, I would be crazy enough to go if it would be possible to get
in. If anyone of the 'London crew' can creep in, we're counting on you
;-)
