What I would probably do is use a "ripping" software
package like Audiograbber, which will convert all the
tracks into .wav files.  Then I'd use a wav editor like
Cool Edit and manually remove the gaps.  Once that is
done, you would burn the CDR again using DAO.  It sounds
like a time consuming process, but it would probably do the trick with
some careful work.
