6/27- Jimmy Page/Black Crows

Just heard on WBLM 102.9 out of Portland, Maine that Jimmy Page will be
doing a gig with the Black Crowes on June 27 to raise money for Brazillian
children (or something to that effect). The concert is invite only, and
will be at a place with approxamatly 400 people attending. They will do a
mix of BC/LZ songs as well as several covers.

Ed I know you'd think that this was very cool.

As for the reliability of this info- I would not doubt it, the DJ who
announced this, Brian James, has pretty close ties with the Black Crowes
and their management. When this station had it's 25th birthday party, the
Black Crowes were the house band for the night, and the Crowes have
dropped by their studio many many times in the past 8-10 years.

Not sure if there is going to be a CD released (with only 400 attending I
hope so especially since it is going to raise money.....but if not, let's
hope one of the invitees is really sneaky, I'd love to hear a taping of
this. We're talking one of teh best Rock and Roll bands that exists today
playing with one of the best axemen of all time.....should be a killer
show folks. From "Dzed" into "Hard to Handle" to "Ramble On" to "Stop
Kicking My Heart Around" to "Black Dog to "She Talks to ANgels"...... I
could go on forever......
