If I recall corectly, in an intrview Page said that when the double
album tapes were stolen. He wrote all new material to record. So that
bootleggers wouldn't be able to release poorer quality copies of the
album. So with that in mind I don't think "Wasting my time" &" Wanna
make love" would have apeared on the double album if it had been
released.
For what it's worth, I loved Outrider when it came out. I think just the
fact that it was Jimmy playing was enough for me to overlook the weaker
vocals on it. Just the whole feeling that Jimmy put across in his
playing on that album really moved me then & still does.
It's a shame the double album didn't happen though. It just would've
been that much more Page to enjoy!
