Too bad Page sold out and decided to scrap the double
album concept he had originally planned which would
have meant more blues and acoustic stuff. Instead we
got pap and schlock like "Wasting my time" and "Wanna
Make Love" - two of the most hurl-inducing tracks I've
ever heard. Until Coverdale/Page came along, that is.
And don't get me started on Prison Blues. Yuck.

Agree here. Inspired stuff. Came off well live, too.

standouts.

Agree here, too. This one should have been played
instead of the god awful "Shake My Tree" during the 95
tour.

Plant, and if I remember right, Page said shortly
after it was released that he did write it with Robert
in mind.

I seem to remember that the "The Only One" was a
cheeky response from Percy to Page as in this is "the
only one" you're going to get - no full scale reunion.

Hideous. A poor man's Joe Cocker. At best.

Absolutely one of the driving factors. A classic case
of a record label trying to cut their losses. The last
few Whitesnake albums stiffed, Page's album sold about
four copies. So why not put them together and see what
happens? Probably seemed like a god idea on paper.
