No one seems to have got the real joke about the Concert in Kashmir;
namely, that the very idea of such an event is grotesque beyond human
comprehension. Some even expressed the desire to travel to this wasted land
to see a pair of wrinkled rock stars attempt to save it through the magic
of their music. Now _that's_ an apocalypse now. To invoke the Mad Colonel
yet again: "The horror...the horror..."

Better to wait for Oliver Stone's film version of "Hammer of the Gods" to
come out. My sources tell me Keanu Reeves is to play Page opposite Ralph
Fiennes' Plant. Jones plays himself--with considerable aplomb.
