answers to questions

Hi guys,
Ahh, I love it when the JPJ and ITTOD arguments start up!. Here are
some comments and answers much to my delight!.

>I personally suspected the opposite - Page doesn't like the album as much
>as the others because he wasn't as involved in it as he was with the
>others. That's just a suspicion, however.
That sounds more like Roberts personality. Jimmy would judge an album
on what's on it and not how much imput he had on it. Sure, some songs
are keyboard dominated, but I can hear Jimmy loud and clear and
songs like In the evening, Hot Dog, Carouselambra - that's half the
album!

>That, and I always thought that the reason that Hot Dog was on the single
>and All My Love wasn't is because Jimmy wrote Hot Dog(Page/Plant); whereas
>he didn't write All My Love(Jones/Plant)---even though he was basically high
>during the entire recording of the album, he still had more control than
>Jones and exercised it.
Hot Dog was a single becauase it's catchy and can appeal to people
who don't really like Led Zeppelin. Although AML (both of which I've
heard on radio here) is a better song in terms of depth and meaning,
it would have been a bit long. They both would have made good
singled, but Hot Dog sticks in you head more.

>> Does anyone have a theory on why page/plant never toured with jones?
Because Robert didn't want to. He thought that if JPJ was there,
people would call it Led Zeppelin (Bonham didn't want to be a part of
the reunion). So Robert set out to make a solo album called WIC and
thought that it would get a better reception if he called Jimmy to
play guitar on it, but decided to put his name on the album so that
Robert could be more popular.

>> And why they haven't kept any relationship since led zeppelin?
Professionally they have - deciding the track lists for box sets, BBC
sessions and the two reunions. We never know what could have happened
in their private lives during the early 80s. There could have been
some big blow out that niether want to talk about today.

>> also, if ITTOD was primarily jones work, then zooma will bite!
>My guess is that 90% of the 25% of you who will actually get "Zooma" won't like
>it very much.
Agreed. You hear an instrumental album once, and that's it. It won't
set the world on fire and I don't expect it to hit the top of the
charts. From what JPJ has said, the album will be weird. At least the
other two have some competition now!

> And why does everyone always say page was wasted during ITTOD sessions!
Cause he was a little drug addict in those days.

That is all if you're still reading.
