Hi,
For all those who can't download the Yamaha SoundVQ Files properly...
Do the following...
Load the SoundVQ Player
Go to Open
Open Location (not Open SoundVQ File)
Type in the location of the VQF Files from the web site
("http://www.fortunecity.com/marina/pitcairn/14/tfi1.vqf" for Rock and Roll)
("http://www.fortunecity.com/marina/pitcairn/14/tfi2.vqf" for Most High)
The player will now download the files to open them.
When you have finished listening to them close SoundVQ Player (don't try Save
or anything it won't work).
Now do a search on your hard disk (Start > Find > Files and Folders in Win 95,
File Manager search in Win 3.1), and search for "*.vq*", it will list whatever
you have on your hard disk.
You will then get a strange sort of file name coming up with a mixture of
letters and numbers (this is the temporary file it writes when you open it
over the internet), copy this to wherever you want it and rename it to "Rock
and Roll" or "Most High" (or whatever you want!).
Then double click that file and it will open it from your hard disk.
Hope this is of use to you all!!!!
I'm in the UK anyway so I saw TFI Friday, but those who are not, enjoy Alan's
great recordings!!!! (they're pretty good Alan).
See ya.
