Rob writes of Top of the Pops,

>I was leaning on Jimmy's auto-cue, I could have strummed the guitar for
>him!

While Tony writes,

>There was a false start on the second
>number and Jimmy has to move one fan from in front of his cue screen!

Was that you, Rob?

and

>The
>banter is that although they aren't the oldest act to go on Top Of The
>Pops we're probably the oldest audience they've ever had!

I hope some of the people who were told that are the same ones who are
always commenting on how old Robert and Jimmy look.

>From the London Times:

>For his part, the 54-year-old Page looked in need of some
> exercise,

Poor Jimmy! For thirty years everybody complains that he's too thin. He
finally fleshes out a little, and this is what he gets.

Tony again, about the Shepherd's Bush performance:

>We were even treated to an old
>style Page 'star-jump'.

So he's strong enough for that. At the end of a show. At 54. He certainly
gets two hours of solid exercise every time they perform! Wanna bet Jimmy
shapes up on tour? BTW, he doesn't look bad at all in that little minimovie
on the MTV website.

Brad writes,

>Reading your post, I just got the image of you
>saying "I really liked the whimsical, self-deprecating edge to 'When the World
>Was Young'." and Plant saying "What??!!". :)

What--you don't think Robert knows what "whimsical" and "self-deprecating"
mean? Remember his joking in that interview in Japan that people always
assume that he doesn't understand things just because he's blond? Anyway,
who cares if he disagrees with me? Anything to get him talking, so I can
just sit and listen.

Eddie reports,

>Chris Evans: Sex, football and rock & roll are the best things in life?
>
>Robert: Yes, I'd say so.
>
>CE: Which is best?
>
>Robert: Football. It's the only one I can't do properly.

Self-deprecating, and self-serving at the same time! Who says this man
isn't clever?
