Yeah, Coverdale was with Purple for a while. He was their vocalist
after Ian Gillan quit.
I don't think they did very well when he sang with them. Come to think
of it- I think Page could've done a whole lot better with someone
else. I really can't stand his attitude. I think he screams too damn
much, too. I have a video of him with Page in Osaka from
the aborted C/P tour- I don't think Jimmy cared for his foul mouth.
Every other word out of his mouth was foul. Come to think of it- so
was his singing...
