And that makes an opinion carry weight? Music criticism is some
profession... if you can say "this eclectic ensemble from San Diego plays
jangly three-chord power pop with shimmering glissando songcraft, as their
lush harmonies careen through a filtered sensibility of a psychedelic
sub-niche of dub/narcotic/electronika" you've got the job. Then learn your
one fact about music 'history': Phil Spector invented the wall of sound and
you can apply this term to any song involving more than one overdub. If I
ever hear the word songcraft again!
Well, I guess I let out the secret. We're all critics now!
Anyone run those guitar corrections through their head yet? I'm waiting to
hear if Gretsch made a rare 12-string acoustic flattop that Page was never
photographed playing...
