That was mislabeled. That wasn't "When the World Was Young", it was "Upon a
Golden Horse". I didn't like "Golden Horse" at all at first. Now I've
listened to it a few times, and I *really* like it. Once again, it seems like
it's going to be that kind of album. Plant's vocals were initially very
annoying because they're too upfront. Now I'm used to them, and I can
concentrate on his phrasing and performance in general. It would really be
too bad if the album's mix ruined what would otherwise be an excellent effort
from Robert. As far as the rest of the song, I love the way the guitars and
strings collide towards the end. Very effective. For what it's worth, I like
"Please Read the Letter" a lot as well, it's also grown on me. The double-
tracked vocals are well done, and it's sonically pretty solid as well. Give
it a few more listens. The lyrics are a bit goofy, but not really grating, in
my opinion. If you want bad lyrics, try any of John Miles's songs on
_Outrider_, or the infamous "Feeling Hot" from C/P.
