finally heard the whole new album/cd last night. don't know what some
of you are talking about. sounds like a natural evolution to my ears.
not sure, however, about p/p's decision to go with a "warts and all"
approach for final mix. bum notes galore, both guitar-wise and vocals.
come to expect that from pagey over the years, but surprised to hear
robert leave them in. zep fans should not fret. throw pulp fiction
soundtrack, the doors, the byrds, jeff buckley, calling to you,
yallah, kashmir, walter's walk, the only one, helen of troy and two
shots of tequilla in a blender and you get 'walking into clarksdale.'
the cd title is an aberration. should have been called 'most high.'
love the line 'light of my life, where have you gone? love's true
flame dies, without the warmth of the sun.' don't worry about the
sound quality of your tapes. cd will sound better. adios. ps people
who expected achilles part two must have jaw dropped when they heard
fool in the rain. keep an open mind and enjoy. play it loud!
