Good day to all my "friends" at FBO,
>From my dear, dear friend Dave Anderson:
>From the closed mind of David Pecnik<
Yes, thankfully closed to Page/Plant. Of course, I have always said
that I am a "Led Zeppelin" fan. I've never been--likely will never
be--a Page/Plant fan.
>>Four whole minutes! Wow! And you had enough energy left to post
this incisive review! Thanks! <<
Don't mention it. With much tongue-in-cheek (missed in your puny,
little brain), I "elaborated" on my dislike of the song and fears
that it indicated an ominous trend for the rest of the album.
>>Yes, God bless 'em. And God bless Jimmy Page & Robert Plant too!
Come to think of it, God bless us, every one!<<
Another tongue-in-cheeek comment deserves another.
>>Is it OK for Oasis fans to like it? What about Garth Brooks fans?
Do they have your _permission_ to like it?<<
Typical of the list. I should have clarified the comment. I feel
that anyone who is extremely passionate about the music of Led
Zeppelin cannot honestly feel the "same" away about a Page/Plant
composition. The passion that brings us to this list as Led Zeppelin
fans will never be found in a Page/Plant song.
>>Guess what pal, I like LED ZEPPELIN. I love LED ZEPPELIN. I
honestly like "Most High." So you don't like it. Big deal.<<
I don't give two shits about you, Dave. So the fact that you like it
just reinforces my negative thoughts about the album. You're
thoughts are small potatoes to me.
>>There is no lead guitar break on these studio tracks by LED
ZEPPELIN:
Kashmir
Immigrant Song
Four Sticks
Bring It On Home
Out On The Tiles
Night Flight
Carouselambra...<<
Excuse me for--once again--not clarify in incredible detail my
thoughts. All those song mentioned above feature strong Page
guitar. The guitar he plays in MH is, IN MY OPINION, is weak and
pathetic.
>>Out of place to *you*. Really it's just in a style your ears are
unaccustomed to<<
Thank Jesus for that! You cannot honestly like the organ in this
song. It's laughable--much like the rest of your thoughts.
>>Why not just say you don't like it and leave it
at that, instead of coming up with a lot of pathetic, lame statements
that basically add up to the fact you don't like it? There's nothing
wrong with not liking it.<<
What, and miss out on rebuttals like this? You must be kidding.
After all, you're one of the people on this list who sits atop a
building like a fuckin' vulture waiting for someone to say something
you don't agree with so you can pounce. I get a kick out of it. It
was one of the reasons why I worded my post the way I did. Just for
the reactions. I figured you, of all people, would be the first to
"grace" the list with your contempt of my views. Thanks for not
disappointing me.
Incidentally, I'm not the first person to post that he didn't like
MH. But like "Hyman Roth", you took mine personally and reacted with
your typical vicious post. As I told you in a private email, you're
a real dickhead.
>>You're right. Where's Coverdale? Sammy Hagar? John Miles?
Ronnie James Dio? Maybe Brian Johnson from AC/DC? What happened to
the singers from Warrant, Ratt, Great White, and Quiet Riot? They'd
all be great with Page! And Jason Bonham could handle the drumming,
and maybe Pagey and John Paul could patch things up... (yawn)<<
Yeah, yawn is right. You bore the fuck out of me, but I figured I'd
respond publicly to you once and end it. Members like you (and now
me) who take their own personal feelings about another member to the
list are a discredit to the whole idea of what FBO is supposed to be
about (whatever that may be).
In conclusion, Dave...fuck off.
Love,
David
