A promising P/P review...

This is definitely the most promising review of the new album that
I've read so far...:

>Well, I've finally heard _Walking Into Clarksdale_. Rather than a
>song-by-song, which I don't have the energy for at the moment, I'll just
>say this...
>
>1) It is going to sell poorly. This is a complement.
>
>2) It's going to be quite some time before I can say if I like it or not.
>It's a very..."difficult" album.<<

My Interpretation:
1) This album probably wasn't written to please all of the critics and
the general population...it was likely written to satisfy the artist's
creative ideas...which usually results in a f*cking great album (ie, Led
Zep III).

2) This isn't some trashy "for the money" effort. Some of my all-time
favorite albums started out as being some of my all-time least favorite
albums (ie, "Everybody Knows this is Nowhere", by Neil Young).

- -Haven't heard it yet, but the anticipation is building...
