What about Bonham's friends and family?  Even if his death was somehow a
blessing for Zeppelin, it certainly wasn't a blessing for them.  As for
whether Page would have kicked the bucket if Bonham had lived,
there's no way to know whether that would have happened, unless you pull
off the "sling-shot around the sun" trick that Star Trek characters do
whenever they feel the need to go back in time.  It's certainly plausibe
that he might have overdosed or whatever, but it's not inevitable that he
would have done so.
