I wonder if Robert ever considered that maybe the emotion WASN'T second hand.
Up until 1975, Led Zeppelin had prestige, they had fame and fortune. But
where was the pathos? Their blues were built upon the foundation of the
past. Their musical expression was fabulous, etheral and primal all in the
course of an evening. However, their own personal experiences had not yet
taken them to the edge of the Abyss. As in May 1970 so in January 1975
forces beyond their direct control influenced their lives, transforming
them as artists. As Robert said around the time of the "No Quarter"
project, "the runes risted in the golden framework ...have emerged to bring
the balance back." Thank Jimmy for that. To break the first rule of the
path of the light in the name of love, one must be an innocent.  To teach
the the first rule to the innocent shows a gentlest kind of love of all
under will without bounds. So if any of you have an idea of what the first
rule is, then more power to you.
