I think these are both excellent ideas. I don't know what's stopping
those people from not already making copies. 

this will keep the video where it is and belongs until the principle parties
deem it appropriate for an official release. those i know who have it in their
possesion have a sense of responsibilty and integrity to the individuals that
have the rights to this footage, and respect their interests and wishes
regarding this talk about piece of history. at this point in time there might
be others that have acquired this by unknown means and are quite willing to
take advantage of it. i can't speak to this. i think patience should rule the
day. there will come a time when this gem and others will make their way to
the public that is interested in them. take care folks.
