Re: Coolest Zep Collectible YOU OWN

I've enjoyed this thread. Here's my contribution -

Sentimental value - A 7" vinyl featuring several BBC session tunes in
awful quality, including The Girl I Love, WIAWSNB, Communication Breakdown,
and Something Else. It's not worth much, but when I found it at a record
show I almost blew a fuse. I wasn't on the net and didn't know jack about
bootlegs at the time, so when I discovered a record with a *new* Zeppelin
song on it (and an Eddie Cochrane cover), I flipped!

Monetary value - A limited edition poster which commemorates the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame performance, I believe. It has a picture of NYC in sepia
tone, with a Zeppelin flying overhead bearing Bonzo's symbol. The text
advertises 'Led Zeppelin at the Waldorf Astoria.' There's a numbered
certificate of authenticity included. I picked this up when I worked at
Spencer's Gifts...with my employee discount it was like $8. Last time I saw
it for sale the price was $95!

Bizarre Collectible - A clock in the shape of a guitar with images cut out
of a Led Zeppelin II LP laminated onto it. Yes, I'm not kidding. It looks
rather interesting, and was handmade by the guy who lived across the street
from me. I bought it at his garage sale for $10. He had a bunch of Elvis
ones too.
