THIS is a cool thread...I think we have had similar ones before but I
don;t think I had gone through the entire zep catalog then, so I couldn;t
tell....

All music is enhanced after smoking....Jefferson Airplane has some opretty
cool songs to listen to while "most high" but this is Zeppelin....

Dazed is always a good one.....any version. THe Jake Holmes version is
especially good, as well as TSRTS version. the WLL medley and NQ from
TSRTS are excellent as well, not to say that the studio versions don't
work well, they are excellent too, but long extended jams of songs I like,
with other songs sometimes put in, are always aesthetically pleasing.

How Many More Times is a great one, especially with some of the cool bow
effects, which also brings you too songs such as "IUn The Evening" which
have the unique zeppish element of rocking, and slowing down, then rocking
again, etc. Achilles is always a great choice, as well as IMTOD. Kashmir
is excellent, as it is mellow, yet incredible. The NQ version is also
excellent.

When the Levee Breaks is amazing, the drums peirce through your mind, the
backwards harmonica, it's incredible. Going to California is great too.
Stairway is a perfect stoner song....you almost understand the lyrics
better, but unfortunately never remember the interperatation after you
have come down.

Friends- those strings always bring a great element to any song, which is
much of the reason that "Upon A Golden Horse" is so appealing....but that
is not meant as a knock on the version of this song that is on the MH
single wiuthout the strings......because the strings are missing is what
makes this one shine. But more onto WIC stuff below...

Hats off.... is great for this, because of all the extra effects....Inever
liked this song until I listened to it while high....then it seemed like
so much more, and such a great tribute to early blues players....

The Rain Song is an excellent choice, it is so deep, and provokes so much
thought.

In The Light is one of the best for smoking to, the synthesized sounds,
and then thundering into a much heavier song, which changes alot, keeps
your mind wandering. This song also has some of the best writing of any
Zep song, it is so full of truth. "When love is pain, it can devour you."
How true, how true, sometimes I think life would be so much aeasier
without love, but unfortunately, until one expiriences love in a positive
light it will always devour you. Down By the Seaside is great....both the
Zeppelin version and the RoberTori version on Enconium....Ten Years GOne
is incredible....especially the knebworth version, brings tears to my eyes
every time.

Carouselambra is excellent.....Zeppelin is one of the only bands who
seemed to know how to used synthesized sound correctly, so many bands use
it wrong, Zep always did well with it, and Carouselambra is a great song,
another one that, even though the lyrics are hard to hear, makes your mind
wander.

Any blues song, ICQYB, YSM, SIBLY, TFO- all are gret, some of Robert and
Jimmy's phrasings in all of these songs are HIGHlights of why I like Zep
so much, thingsd I never noticed until smoking to Zep.

Robert's "In THe Mood" and "Big Log" are great. Notice the similar
bassline on "In THe Mood" to "Please Read the Letter," which is another
good one. which brings me back onto WIC-

WIC is, in my opinion, one of the best stoner albums related to led
Zeppelin that has ever been put out. When the World was Young is
incredible Most High- whether it is about Cannibus or not is not the
issue, any song called "Most High" is a weed song, which brings me to a
story:

When I fisrst heard MH, it was a real audio file that someone on the list
had posted on their web site. This version did not have the keyboards, or
the bagpipe-sounding solos in it. One day I was at my friends house, and
was pretty high, and for the first time I heard it on the radio. I heard
the keyboards and bagpipes and they freaked me out....I loved the song
that much more almost instantly.

Heart In Your Hand took the longest of the whole album to grow on me, but
this one is a real standout to me. Each time I hear it I want to start
singing "Girrrrrrrl, you'll be a woman....soon" but that's besides the
point. WIC is an incredible album......and as the album that was playing
in my car for about 2 months straight, during a period of time Iwas
bringing a friend of mine to work every day, who, lived about 45 minutes
away, who always had a good supply, I got to listen to this album many
times while smoking, and it became a smoking theme album to me. Thta is
probably why I love it so much. One time we got pulled over, and I was
scared shitless, my car probably had a nice thiclk oder to it. The cop
didn't seem to mind, he just asked what the TUna in Led-TUna was, so while
I told him, he heard WIC playing, and said that it was a great album.
After checking my licence and everything, he sent me on my way, and just
told me to watch my speed.....I was suprised, don't know how I got let
off....

The really ironic thing is that I ahve been pulled over a total of 8
times, all of which I was playing Zeppelin, and 7 of them I got
off......ironic....

anyway, I hope I didn;t offend anyone. Anyone wanting to tell me to grow
up and stop burning out can fuck off, I won't listen to you, I am
ignorant. :) I smoke weed, and enjoy doing so. :) And probably always
will....right now unfortunately I can;lt afford it but I can guarentee
you that once I can I'll be getting more. And if I ever get really rich I
want to do this:

Buy an ounce, and roll it all up into numerous joints.....drive around and
visit everyone I know, go visit them, smoke one, pass it around, and leave
and go to the next person's house. If I do do this, area Badgeholders will
be included.....and area badgeholders includes....anyone norht or east of
PA, so that includes Maine, NH, Mass, RI, CT and NY. Seeya then! THat'll
be my zeptreck!
